What's up? You may have asked & hopefully I answered.

It's been nearly a month since my last transmission. You, you know who you are, have been bugging me for another blog entry. Golly, I've been busy Beev. Let me list the ways.

  • I'm a year older (sorta). Had a Birthday anyway.
  • Made pleasantly aware I'm married to a Champion, USN Atlantic Fleet Individual Rifle First Place Winner.
  • Lived in a Marriott for 14 days (Charleston, Cocoa Beach, Charlotte).
  • Proud mother to a newly potty trained two year-old.
  • Completed seven books via my eReader Pro app for iPhone:
The Complete Demonica Series by Larissa Ione. Sinful reads perfect for lonely nights.
Slan by A. E. Vogt. How do we know our children won't surpass us?
Dead and Gone Southern Vampire Series Book nine. Dear Sookie, stay sweet.
Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. Genius isn't everything, hard work, luck, and a the perfect birthday make all the difference.
Lizard World by G. Bryan Smith. What's the meaning of slavery and when is it okay...
  • Was a techno-weenie by utilizing data merge to create 40 gratitude letters and labels on behalf of the USN Shooting Team, and crunched their post Atlantic Fleet Match Surveys into something neater with a graph.
  • Helped an old man with his luggage.
  • Saw four movies:
Star Trek - Awesome! I'm totally loving the ST, STNG, Enterprise, and other SCI-FI easter eggs.
Wolverine - Hugh Jackman.
Terminator - Unhappy about the ending. I think they killed the franchise.
Angels & Demons - I can't wait to read the book! It was a fun ride.
  • Saw three for real, not digital, IMAX's:
"Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3-D" - Tom Hanks narrated, but other well-known actors added their voices to this spectacular film.
"Space Station 3-D" - The 3-D imagery was super cool. Tom Cruise's nasally voice was distracting.
"Star Trek: IMAX" - The first five minutes had me crying again, the IMAX theater's sound quality is unmatched, and the huge screen made things I missed the first time pop out more.

What haven't I done?
  • I haven't walked past a vagrant without saying "Hello" or a panhandler without giving them $0.50. - It's my Karmic debt and charitable donations go far to dig you out of the hole.
  • Dined on McDonald's/ Burger King ... - If you haven't shopped at Trader Joe's or Farm Fresh you are missing out, no need to get Fast food. Real food is easier and better for you.
  • Dined at Bennigan's. I was crushed when my little family discovered the Monte Cristo is no more.
  • Left my hovel without an umbrella. - It's like the Eurythmics are on tour to every state I'm in!
  • Tried something new daily. - Food or exercise mostly.
  • Watched SCI-FI or BBC America. - I'm tweaking...
  • Escaped the pull of the Season finale of "American Idol" or this season's start of "So You Think You Can Dance."
  • Not read at least 3 chapters a day.
  • My ode to my Mom Blog. While Hubby and I were TAD Mom took care of the girls. They are GERM Magnets/Multipliers. Poor Grandma has been down with a bug since this past Thursday.
**@NAVYCS LUMPIA recipes will be posted! Your patience is appreciated.**

I have so many new followers on Twitter and I have been a poor Tweep. I refuse to Auto-DM. So as a blanket to all of you.... Mahalo for your follow. I really do add each of my valuable followers manually and check out their websites or blogs. My #FollowFriday recommends are not filled with everyone in my follow listing but of real tweeters who ADD something positive to my life. Maybe a blog on them would be in order? Hmmm.

Until next time, treasured surfer.

Plain Jane Celebrity Nexus

Recently I've been sucked into the vortex called Twitter.  It's where normal people tweet and the famous broadcast.  I have "met" so many interesting people.  Connected with people from all over the world.  I've enjoyed #MFZAR conversations, #punday, and #followfriday.  It's incredible how this social network has let us normals mingle with the abnormal, beautiful, scary, brilliant, nerdy, geeky, sweet, naughty, famous, infamous and helpful tweeps.

It has it's pitfalls.  Watch out for the #failwhales, the MLM's, and Decepticons who autobot DM (direct message) you. Or those lovely twits who tweet the same thing over and over again.  Fortunately you can choose not follow them or block them. ;)  Never feel guilty about unfollowing someone who mars your sTweet experience.  It's your experience!  If you find someone that nourishes your mind, body or soul... TELL the TWITTERVERSE!!! The greatest compliment you can give is to #followfriday them or RT (retweet) them.

It's important to be yourself and make an effort to be nice.  If you can't say anything nice unfollow someone.  I unfollowed a poor lady because I couldn't be nice.  She had multiple diseases or medical conditions who announced via Twitter that her husband wanted a divorce.  Hello LADY roll your chair away from the computer and have a real conversation with your husband and family.  You were tweeting 45 times an hour!   I call it divine intervention.  She needed to get re-engaged with what was going on with her family instead of typing "LOL!!!!!" every 20 seconds.  I'm not Dr. Phil but I'm sure he'd say the same thing.

One of the greatest boons to using Twitter is that you still can connect with your friends without them sending you their top 5 , or hugs, plants, flowers, eggs, smurfs, or soul food.  Don't get me wrong, earlier this year I was on convalescent leave for 42 days and needed virtual human contact.  I was so lonely, stuck in bed, and on serious pain killers.  The wait for someone to challenge me to some "Who's your 80's Tiger Beat Heart Throb" was like sticking bamboo underneath my fingernails... PAINFUL!  I was addicted and facebook was my crack.

Will I have a facebook relapse?  Chances are slim.  I got put on the patch and it's called Twitter.

Marlo's Benefactor of Sixth Grade Knowledge

Recently, my sister was attacked verbally by someone evil. This demon goes by "Skip".  I have belittled old Skippy in public.  I am sorry a tad for the way I degraded him.  Maybe his mother really was a prostitute, maybe that was her way of paying the bills.  I don't know.
~Public assistance is available to those who qualify.~
If she didn't qualify it's a good thing that Skippy was able to grow up successfully enough to rent internet access at an internet café. (After all he learned at his momma's knee about how to rent or lease things.)
My true feelings were slightly stifled concerning this event.  I didn't want my sister embarrassed by her sister with the Sailor's mouth. Here is the original copy of my response to Skippy.

Obviously Skip is a troll who lives under a bridge somewhere sucking the bone marrow out of the kittens he's tortured and killed.

He is undeserving of your attention or energy since he is a coward.  Coward's by definition abuse small animals, children, their wives and their mothers.  He is turned on by the suffering others. (Please note: as he reads this he is starting to wet his tighty whitey's with pre-cum.)

He's probably still a virgin due to the fact that his mother didn't breast feed (lack of confidence.)  It's unfortunate that breast feeding isn't the normal upbringing of children today. (This is in direct relation to the rate of incarceration of violent offenders taking up space in America's prison system.)

She was a poor example of female power because she allowed herself to be routinely beaten, raped and sodomized by her johns. This was a low blow at a woman who doesn't know how to defend herself.  She was adult during most of his childhood.  She just couldn't put her big girl panties on long enough to pick herself and poor little Skippy up out of the trailer or no-tell motel they were living in and make a right turn at main street.

I wouldn't be surprised to discover that old Skippy prefers to wear lacy pink panties while reading Marlo's blog.  I'm not talking about Murl's Country, I'm taking about Mind Your Marlo's.  Skippy still feels lost in everyday society,  He needs a constant reminder that he belongs in the here and now.  He reminds himself by wearing women's lingerie.  I think in some ways it make up for the fact that his Mommy wanted a girl to eventually turn-out.  (See Fancy: JGI)

@ MB ~ You got my number. You need me, use it.

@ Skippy ~ I gave you wood didn't I. Too bad you can't maintain it for too long.  Make sure you have a happy towel nearby to clean up your mess.  I'd hate for you to electrocute yourself, stoking and fantasizing about wearing MYM skirts and suckling at a loving breast.
